Dream ---- of Spring

Woohoo!! The sun is shining today in Missouri, that makes me so happy!

To celebrate I have made a card featuring Bridesmaid Tilda. She is so adorable, a precious little girl.

This card fits into 8 challenges:

Here is my card.

IMG_0424 (Small)

There are a lot of ingredients in this card. I used my Nestabilities Classic Ovals, Tim Holtz Sizzix Elegant Flourishes, MS Looped Heart punch set, and Ranger Stickles.  Phew, what a list!

Here is a close up of Miss Tilda.

IMG_0425 (Small)

To color her I used the following Copics.

  • Skin – E13, E11, E00, E000, E0000, W3, R20
  • Hair – E29, E25, E11, E50
  • Dress and socks – B28, B24, B21
  • Shoes – N8, N6, N4, N2
  • Flowers – G24, Y04, R32, R37

Speaking of Copics did you know that you can purchase two different sets that have been created just for coloring images such as Magnolia’s? Here is a link – check it out.

For my flowers I used Prisma white roses and then airbrushed them using Y04, R32 and R37.

IMG_0426 (Small)

Also, on my Dream stamp I used Ranger Stickles. This stuff is so great that it actually shows up in pictures!

Warm Thoughts …. thoughts of spring?

Well, it sure would be nice if it were warm but not today in Missouri, it’s cold and wet so my thoughts for spring are definitely warm!

I made a new card today using Sorry Mimosa by Bildmalarna stamps. She is so adorable, I really like her a lot. She may be called Sorry but to me she looks like she is just thinking about something, guess she could be thinking about something she has done wrong.

This card fits into the following challenges:

 IMG_0418 (Small)

I colored her with Copics. I have a new system for keeping track of my colors. I used to write them down and place them inside the card and then I would lose the paper so I decided just to write  them down in a notebook. Not sure why it took me so long to do something like that but oh well, got it figured out now … lol!!

  • Skin: E13, E11, E00, E000, R20, W3
  • Dress: G24, G21, G20, B45, B41
  • Hair and shoes: E29, E25, E50

Here is a close up of Mimosa.

IMG_0419 (Small)

I added Prisma Roses in blue and then used my MS leaf punch.

IMG_0420 (Small)

This tag stamp is called Heart Tag and is also a Bildmalarna stamp.

And finally, here is the inside.

House Mouse and Friends challenge

Happy Monday everyone. Over at House Mouse and Friends challenge blog our challenge this time is to do anything …. wow what a great challenge!! I love ones like this but then I have to choose a stamp, that’s the hard part. If I hadn’t of joined Stamping Scrapping’s stamp of the month club I wouldn’t have more to choose from.

OK,so for my card I used Sunflower Smooch. Isn’t it just adorable?

IMG_0288 (Small)

I doubled stamped my image to add some dimension to the flower since the flower is one of the reasons that I bought this stamp (no, it wasn’t part of the stamp club but I love them so much just had to have more <hangs head in shame!>).

IMG_0286 (Small)

I colored my image with Copics and added some jewels on each side.

IMG_0287 (Small)

Here is a close up of the image.

Now hop on over to House Mouse and Friends and come join the challenge,I know you have at least one House Mouse, Gruffie or Happy Hopper stamp.

Thanks for stopping by.

Magnolia cuties

I made a couple of cuties this weekend.

This first card uses Tilda with Wildflower. The DP is by SU. I added some flowers in the corners and used my MS Double Loop Combo punch set.

Here is a close up.

And the inside.

IMG_0381 (Small)

My second card uses Honey Tilda. The paper is also from SU and I used buttons in the corners. For my border I used MS Looped Hearts.

Fairytale Tilda

This evening I finished a card that I started over the weekend. I’m pleased with how it turned out especially since it was made for a very, very special friend.  I used the sketch from Magnolia-licious Highlites.

IMG_0365 (Small)

For my image I chose Fairytale Tilda from the newest Magnolia collection.  I colored her using Copics but misplaced my paper that I  wrote the pen numbers on. For her wings I used vellum and my Copics air brush system. I stamped this Tilda on vellum twice and then cut out the wings. I sprayed a pink and then using one of my Spica’s I sprayed that over the top for sparkle. Here is a close up of her. I cut the wings off the paper image and replaced it with the vellum wings.

  IMG_0366 (Small)

The DP is from the Luxury Stack by DCWV. My color theme is Pink and Chocolate. My card base is scalloped card stock from my stash. I added some pearls along the side of the image and also the Tim Holtz Sizzix die elegant flourishes.

 IMG_0367 (Small)

I added some Prisma roses, made little curly coils and added them to the rose bunch.

IMG_0368 (Small)

I decorated the inside of the card using the remainder of the elegant flourishes cut out and added a sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!

Hugs,

Bildmalarna challenge – Green, Yellow and Brown

The challenge this time over at Bildmalarna blog is a color combo. IMG_0143 (Small)

For my image I used Mimo with Roses.  He is one of my favorites! I just love how he colors up. Here is a close up. I used my Copic Air Brush System around all of the edges including the matting that Mimo is on. I just love air brushing but it sure does take a lot of practice!!

IMG_0144 (Small)

I made him awhile ago and lost my paper that I wrote the Copics colors that I used. If you saw my craft room you would understand why I lost it!!

IMG_0145 (Small)

I added these flowers and sprayed them with Smooch Sprintz Vanilla Shimmer. I love this stuff and the picture doesn’t do it justice!

IMG_0146 (Small)

Here is the inside of the card.

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to join the challenge at Bildmalarna, we would love to have you!!

Hugs,

Bildmalarna and Bildy wall

Well, earlier today I showed you my wall of Magnolia’s. So, now it’s  time for my Bildy wall. Since these stamps are fairly new I do not have too many of them but if you are interested you can go to Stamping Scrapping and check them out here. Cindy and Kevin Echtinaw are the North American distributors of these stamps and Cindy’s shipping is so fast that you will probably have them the same day you order … LOL!!

So here is my wall.

Bildmalarna (Small)

Notice the ones in red? Well, those are from the Bildmalarna stamp club. These are unmounted stamps that come in a sheet that you cut out. If you are interested in them you can go here.

Since I am showing my wall I guess I should show a card made with one of these cuties.

 IMG_0325 (Small)  IMG_0326 (Small)

This is Tossa in the window. Isn’t she just the cutest? I just adore her.

IMG_0327 (Small)IMG_0328 (Small)

Here is the inside of the card.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week.

Don’t forget to check out my candy …  there’s still time to enter.

Scrappy Frogs challenge

The challenge at Scrappy Frogs is to stamp on something other than paper. Let me tell you, this was a tough one for me. I had several ideas of what I wanted to do but they just didn’t work.

I settled on stamping on a wood box that I purchased from JoAnn’s. So, here is my project.

IMG_0311 (Small)

I stamped using Memento Ink. The stamp is from SU. I colored it with my Prisma watercolor pencils. After it was colored I rubbed Tim Holtz distress tea-dye on the lid and the sides of the box.

IMG_0313 (Small)

Next, I stamped the sentiment ‘Scent with Love’ onto the lid. This sentiment comes from a stamp set created by Cindy Echtinaw called Fancy Accents. These are the greatest acrylic stamps!

IMG_0312 (Small)

On the outside of the box I layered green and light burgundy and then used my MS Looped hearts punch for the top and bottom of the DP.

The sentiment is perfect for what I am storing in it. I have several bottles of Scent My Cards fragrances that I wanted to store in it so I cut paper and made slits to create a grid to set each one in.

IMG_0315 (Small)

I then typed the names of the scents and cut them out with a small flower punch, ran them through my sticker maker and placed them on the top of each bottle.

IMG_0316 (Small)

Here is a pic with the lid open.

 IMG_0314 (Small)

We would love for you to come and join us at Scrappy Frogs this challenge. If you couldn’t stamp on paper what would you stamp on?

Spellcaster Tilda

Happy Sunday!

Like many of my blogging friends I have received my new Magnolia stamps and the first one I inked up is Spellcaster Tilda. She is so adorable, she is definitely one of my favorites but the sad part is they are all my favorites.

Before I show you my card let me show you my Magnolia wall. I keep my stamps on plexi-glass (acrylic) sheets that I buy at Westlake’s Hardware. My hubby bought me three more sheets and they were a different size so I had to rearrange everything but talk about a Magnolia addiction ….. phew!

Here is my Magnolia stamps. These are all Tilda and Edwin with the first two rows on the top being Edwin and the rest being Tilda. I’m bad, I know. I also have a Bildmalarna wall which I will show you in the next post. Since these are newer stamps I don’t have as many but guaranteed as cute as they are I will fill that one up too.

Magnolia (Small)

OK, so on to my card. I used the distress technique that Suzanne Dean has published on her blog, Scrapbitz, on how to color with Copics to produce a distress look and this is my first try.

IMG_0329 (Small)

Isn’t she just so cute? I used some springy colored papers, kind of a coral colored. Here is a close up of Miss Tilda.

IMG_0330 (Small)

I colored her with the following Copics.

  • Skin – E13, E21, E00, E000, E0000, R21, W3
  • Dress – R02, Roo, Rooo, R0000
  • Hair – E33, E51, E50
  • Shoes and wand – T8, T6, T4, T2
  • Star – Y38 and Yellow Spica

Here is a pic of the inside, sorry for the blurriness.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!!
