Plum-tastic Birthday

Hi, Friends,

I made this card for a friend who has a birthday coming up and wanted to share it with you.

IMG_1119 (Large)

For my image I used Peachy Tilda and instead of using the fruit as peaches I decided to make them plums.  The floral paper is from my stash and the other is Core’dinations. I really hate to cover this stuff up because I just love the way that it sands. The roses are Prima Fairytale Roses in French White and added some Ranger Stickles Lavendar to the tips.

I matted Tilda using my Nestabilities Labels 10. The lattice is made by cutting 1/4” strips and then gluing them down. The little swirls were made with Tim Holtz Sizzix Elegant Flourishes. I also inked the edges of portions of the papers using Tim Holtz distress ink – Dusty Concord

IMG_1120 (Large)

The sentiment is computer generated.

IMG_1121 (Large)

I colored my image with the following Copics:

  • Skin – E13, E11, E00, E000, E0000, R22, R21, R20
  • Clothes and plums – BV06, BV04, BV02, Bv00
  • Boots – N6, N4, N2
  • Hair and basket – E57, E53, E50

Magnolia Stamp Lovers welcomes Autumn

As September draws closer so do the colors of Autumn. Reds, oranges, yellows, greens and browns. I love this time of year with all of the trees changing colors, the cool brisk air and the rustle beneath your feet while walking on leaves.
I’ve had these stamps for awhile but this is the first time I have actually inked them up and colored them. I know, shame on me, but crafting time is at a premium right now so I haven’t had a lot of time to ‘play’.

I colored my images with the following Copics:
  • Skin – E13, E11, E00, E000, E0000, R22, R21, R20
  • Hair – E35, E33, E50
  • Dress – R29, R24, R22
  • Pants – B99, B97, B95, B93, B91
  • Trellis – E25, E53, E41
  • Grass and flower leaves – YG97, YG95
I masked my images using Loving Couple and Wedding Arch.  My sentiments are Magnolia’'s Loving Wishes and Happy Anniversary from the new SWL  Congratulations set.
  IMG_1107 (Large) IMG_1106 (Large)
On the arch I used Ultra Fine Strawberry Flower Soft. I just love this stuff!!

Turquoise and Brown Challenge at Magnolia Stamp Lovers

Our challenge at Magnolia Stamp Lovers is to use the colors Turquoise and Brown. I chose to use Cowboy Tilda for my image. Isn’t she adorable?

I also used the sketch from Midnight Madness, it is perfect for a western theme. I used some brads that have been collecting dust for some time and then threaded through some twine. I added a horseshoe charm to the top.

For the grass that Tilda is standing on I used Ultra Fine Flower Soft in Sage, Sand and Toffee. This stuff is so cool! I like it much better than the larger flower soft, it is easier to work with and it doesn’t glob in bunches, it just sprinkles on. I think this is going to be my new choice for whatever my stamp is standing or sitting on. It gives it some dimension I think. Here is a close up.

IMG_1088 (Small)

I used the same twine to make Tilda’s lasso that she is holding and I colored here with the following Copics.

IMG_1090 (Small)

  • Skin – E13, E11, E00, E000, E0000, R22, R21, R20
  • Shirt – BG05, BG02, BG000
  • Hair, hat, skirt and boots – E47, E44, E40

And here is the inside of the card.

There is still time to enter our challenge, to do so go here to our first design team creation. Be sure to check out the other design team creations, they are fantastic!!

Today I found some time to ink up one of my new stamps from the Bildmalarna stamp club.

Meet Tossa the painter.

 IMG_1093 (Small)

Isn’t she adorable? And look at the tree …. do you see the face? I colored her with the following Copics:

  • Skin – E13, E11, E00, E000, E0000, R22, R21, R20
  • Tree – E29, E25, E39, E33, E30, G16, G14, G12
  • Dress – Y08, Y02, Yoo, BV17, BV14, BV00, R17, B05
  • Paint cans – B05, B02, B00, R17, R14, R11, N3, N1, N0, Spica’s

Here is the finished card. The buttons are from SU! and the paper is from my stash.

IMG_1092 (Small)

The sentiment is a House Mouse stamp and was colored using the same colors as Tossa and then Spica’s on top.

Happy Birthday with Mimosa

Boy, it has been a long week for me and I am so glad to be doing some crafting! It is such a relaxing thing to do.

Have you seen the new stamp club stamps from Bildmalarna? Oh my, they are just adorable! I received mine and needed a birthday card so I inked up Mimosa holding a cake. Here is what I came up with.

IMG_1080 (Small)

She is simply adorable with the long flowing hair, don’t you think? I colored her with the following copics:

  • Skin – E11, E00, E000, E0000, R22, R21, R20
  • Clothes – YG45, YG41, E53, E51, E50
  • Hair and shoes – E57, E55, E53, E50

I forgot to write down the cake colors but I think it was probably R21 and R20. The sentiment I used is from the new SWL stamp set. This set is so versatile, it is very nice and gives you a perfect stamp every time. I distressed my edges using my Zutter Distrezz It All and Ranger Distress Ink pads Old Paper. Did you know that Stamping Scrapping has a full line of Tim Holtz products? Be sure to check them out. For the swirl I used my Tim Holtz Sizzix Elegant Flourishes die.

Interested in Bildmalarna stamps?

Morning Blogging Friends,
I just remembered this morning that while I was at CHA I got a sneak peek of the new stamp club from Lalla. All I can say is Oh my gosh!! These are soooo darn cute! I don't have all of the details but do remember that there were about 10 stamps on the sheet (yes, I counted quickly) of Mimosa and Tossa and they can be used for everyday. There is one that I committed to memory and that is Tossa standing under a tree. Why this one? Lalla told me that there is a face in the tree that you can see when it is stamped! I can't wait!!
Today is the last day to order the club, they will be shipping from Sweden shortly and be received here in the states about a week after they are shipped. Be sure to get yours ordered before the end of the day ..... http://www.bildmalarna.com/item_154/Exclusive-Stamp-Club.htm.
And you know that shipping from Cindy is awesome and lightning fast, as soon as she receives them they are out the door.
Have a great day!
