Meet Cynthia

I have several images by Make it Crafty but this is the first one that I actually finished. I always get frustrated with my coloring and put them aside and then later pick it back up or start over. Well, this one I was bound and determined to finish ….. and I did.

This is Cynthia from the new 60’s girls digital collection. Isn’t she darling? I love everything about her and let me tell you if I had not a magnifying light it would have been next to impossible for me to stay in the lines. Gotta quit making the images so small ….. lol.

001 (Medium)

Along with Cynthia I also used Pebblestone Patch and Petals and Palings digital stamps.

For the frame I used the new Spellbinders Card Creator Polka Dot dies. These dies are designed by Cindy Echtinaw from Stamping Scrapping and I am soooo excited about these. Look at the detail.

I also used Spellbinders Card Creator Set A to cut out the inside of the polka dots. There is a full line of the card creator at Stamping Scrapping, be sure to check it out.

Here is a close up of my scene.

Hand Me Down

Well, yesterday I managed to get one more card in and just had to wait for the glitter to dry. Now that it is dry I finished assembling.

The image used here is the gorgeous Hand Me Downs from Saturated Canary. I so love these images, they are a joy to color and the eyes just bring them to life!

001 (Medium)

I kind of went a little off the card with the Magnolia swirls but I like the way that it turned out. I added flowers and used my Spellbinders Floral Ovals behind my image. Since she was a little large I traced the outside of Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large and then cut it out.

Here is a close up of her although I fought with creating folds in her dress and my color isn’t the best in the darkest area but she still looks good but me being a perfectionist …… oh well.

I colored her with the following Copics:

  • Skin – E13, E11, E00, E000, R20, BG53
  • Clothes – BG57, BG53, BG10, BG000, YR02, YR00, YR000, Ranger Stickles
  • Hair – E97, YR21, Y32

Sweet Summer

Well,  tomorrow is back to work after 5 days off so I am trying to get in as much crafting time as I can and because of that I have another card to show you. This one uses Tilda in Key Largo.
This is a very bright and colorful card although I didn’t notice the ‘shadow’ on Tilda’s face until after I attached her to the card. Been having a little trouble with my markers lately, maybe they just need new nibs as I do not give them a break …… lol.

Summer Joy

I was recently introduced to Saturated Canary and let me tell you, these images are awesome! They are a joy to color and they just look good no matter what you do with them. This card uses ‘Dreads’. My thought on this one was that summer has lots of flowers. Last Saturday I went with my daughter and granddaughter to a place called Shelter Gardens in Columbia, Mo. and my goodness the place is beautiful, so many flowers and different plants. I had such a great time spending time walking around the beautiful gardens. Love it when the world is colorful!

002 (Medium)

Isn’t she just adorable? Even though I don’t care for real dreads I did have a blast with this one. It took me a while to color her but I do like the outcome. Here is a close up of her.

005 (Medium)

I colored her with Copics

  • Skin – E13, E11, E00, E000, R20, BG05
