Happy Holidays

pdp chrissie

Now that Thanksgiving is over I think it is safe to say that the holidays are fast approaching. Time sure does fly the older I get, seems like yesterday I was watching the grass turn green.

Getting ready for the holidays I decided to use PDP Chrissie and Add on Faces. Turned out pretty good don’t you think?

pdp chrissie

I decided to go a non-traditional color for this card. It could be a Christmas card or used for any occasion. This is the way I like to make my cards so that if someone needs one for any reason I have them available.

I colored Chrissie with the following Copics on Make it Colour blending card:

  • skin – E04, E11, E00, E000, R20

Miss Precious

tiddlyinks precious

Have you met Precious from Tiddly Inks? She is one of the Gothic Characters.

tiddlyinks precious

She is adorable, had a blast coloring her. I tried something a little different with the skirt of her dress. Actually I messed up, I was trying to make ruffles and I didn’t like the way they looked so took my blender and this is the result. Looks a little fringy don’t you think?

tiddlyinks precious

I printed Precious onto Make it Colour blending card and colored her with the following Copics.

  • Skin – E04, E11, E21, E00
  • Dress – RV34, RV32, R56, C9, C6, C4, C3, C2, E84, E81
  • Hair – 110, N8, N5

I placed her on Spellbinders Card Creator Mystical Embrace. I accented the die and the background using Tim Holtz Distress ink – Aged Mahogany.  The sentiment I made using Big and Small Says it All stamp set from Cindy Echtinaw Designs.

I am participating in the Tiddly Inks challenge blog – Remembrance or Honor.

PDP Nash

For this card I used a Spellbinders embossing folder and used Spellbinders foils. After embossing a used a sanding blog to show the definition. Very simple, but elegant, card.

Bunny with Stocking

BunnyWStocking

Happy Saturday! It’s a cold day here in Missouri and they are calling for snow. Sure does seem that the cold came on very fast and it is hard to believe that winter is here but since it is mid-November I guess that is a safe bet.

Today I would like to show you a cute little bunny Christmas card I made using Bunny with Stocking from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. Adorable digital stamp!

BunnyWStocking

I printed the image onto Make it Colour blending card after lightening the image to get the no lines effect. I wanted the bunny to be really fuzzy looking so I made sure my blender was full of solution and colored the bunny using the C series. What do you think? Is it a fuzzy bunny?

BunnyWStocking

Here are the color of the copics I used:

  • Bunny – C9, C7, C5, C3, C2, C1, C0, 0, R00
  • Hat – R29, R27, R24, R22, YR23, Y15, Y11, Y00

After I colored the image I used Tim Holtz distress ink – Tea Dye and Antique Linen to go over the image for that aged look. I added a bit of tinsel ribbon and flowers from Wild Orchid.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting. Don’t forget to hop on over to Little Miss Muffet stamps to check out the great digital and rubber stamps!

Christmas Already?

Time to get started on those Christmas cards and what better images to use than Socks?

Socks

I had such a blast with this image, he is too adorable. Love his big hat and flopping socks. I added some white dots along the outside and brim of his hat .... why? No idea, just thought it needed something more and it works!

So have you started your Christmas cards yet?

Rayne, Rayne stay and play

PPRayne110114
Now, this is a different type of rain … this is PDP Rayne from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. She is available digitally at the shop along with a lot of other great PDP’s.
PPRayne110114
This is Rayne finished on a card. I really like how her umbrella turned out even though it wasn’t intended to look that way. I was coloring away and realized I had colored the dots the same color, I had intended on coloring them green. After looking at it a little longer decided that I could still use it and that it looked better than what it would have had I used green.
PPRayne110114
Here is a close up of this cutie. I printed her onto Make it Colour blending card using Microsoft Word. I lightened the lines for no line coloring and colored with Copics.
  • Skin – E11, E21, E51, E50
  • Hair – E57, E55, E53, E50
  • Pull toy – Y11, Y15, 100, YR04, R27, R24, R22
  • Clothes, umbrella and boots – YG23, YG03, YG13, BG57, BG53, BG10
