Scrappy Frogs challenge

The challenge at Scrappy Frogs is to stamp on something other than paper. Let me tell you, this was a tough one for me. I had several ideas of what I wanted to do but they just didn’t work.

I settled on stamping on a wood box that I purchased from JoAnn’s. So, here is my project.

I stamped using Memento Ink. The stamp is from SU. I colored it with my Prisma watercolor pencils. After it was colored I rubbed Tim Holtz distress tea-dye on the lid and the sides of the box.

Next, I stamped the sentiment ‘Scent with Love’ onto the lid. This sentiment comes from a stamp set created by Cindy Echtinaw called Fancy Accents. These are the greatest acrylic stamps!

On the outside of the box I layered green and light burgundy and then used my MS Looped hearts punch for the top and bottom of the DP.

The sentiment is perfect for what I am storing in it. I have several bottles of Scent My Cards fragrances that I wanted to store in it so I cut paper and made slits to create a grid to set each one in.

I then typed the names of the scents and cut them out with a small flower punch, ran them through my sticker maker and placed them on the top of each bottle.

Here is a pic with the lid open.

We would love for you to come and join us at Scrappy Frogs this challenge. If you couldn’t stamp on paper what would you stamp on?

Great idea! I like your flower labels on top. I made a box for my scents, too, but they're not labeled--nor does my box have little divided sections. Thanks for sharing your cute creation!
