June Magnolia-licious sketch

This card was made for the June sketch challenge over at Magnolia-licious Yahoo group.

The outside of the card is Tilda and Edwin with Tilda thinking about Edwin and Edwin being in a balloon with a stamped sentiment that says Thinking of You.
I colored Edwin and Tilda with Copics. The inside of the card has a small Tilda and Edwin in each corner and the card is finished to match the outside.

2 sketches 4 you

Wow, amazing happenings going on over at 2 sketches 4 you. When I first started blogging this was the very first challenge I found. This was back in January, it seems like eons ago.

2 sketches 4 you is having their first annual ultimate card showdown. I am giving this a shot as the prizes are just awesome, over $500 for first place!!

My take on the sketch uses Magnolia Edwin and Tilda. I colored them both with Copics (my new passion) and also the background stamp. I stamped out both of these cuties because I wasn't sure what I was going to do and thought how can I make a male card and still make it something special for this challenge. After stamping I thought of the Thinking of You. I still plan on making one with Tilda thinking of Edwin but haven't done it yet, I wanted to get this one posted so I could be sure to get in on the great prizes offered.

Five challenges - one card

Woo Hoo! Five challenges in one card -- I am so excited! Incredibly it was not planned this way, it just happened.

I originally started this card for the Friday Sketchers challenge sketch and it just grew from there.

The challenges that this card fits into are Color Create using colors of the rainbow, Pink Elephant using three buttons, two layers and one sentiment, Cardalicious using two flowers, ribbon and the color blue and Dutch Dare to decorate the inside.

Post it note holder

This was made for the Magnolia-licious DT blog hop. Over at Magnolia-licious Highlites the DT got together and set up a blog hop. Everyone made post it note holders and encouraged us to do the same. You really have to check it out. Go over and follow the links and submit yours, you have a chance to win some of the DT creations as well as three Magnolia stamps from Diane Crick at Magnolia Stamps US.

I used the pattern by following the link and made my own creation. It is not as fabulous as the DT's but I took a shot. I also made a card to hold my post it note holder -- not sure what you would call it, maybe something like the post it note holder for the post it note holder??? LOL!
I made two post it note holders for the box that holds the holders using DT papers. I'm not sure what ones these are but there are several that coordinate very well together. I think I got them from LTD Commodities or Oriental Trading Company.
For the note holder I added the word Notes in green and lavendar. I also cut some flowers from the patterned paper and mounted them on the outside. I added a ribbon for Tilda and set her up so she is above the top of the box. I used two different patterened papers for the note holders.

Now, for the twist. I started to make a card to accompany the post it note holder and decided that I wanted something a little more special so I decided to make a card 'box' to hold the post it note holder. I made a pocket for the note holder to sit in and made the card to fit it.

Lady Bug Tilda heads to Friday Sketchers

I made this card using Tilda with ladybug from the Spring Collection. I used the sketch provided by Friday Sketchers. I used some DP from DCWV called Nana's kids. I just love these ladybugs!

I colored Tilda with my copics to match the colors on the papers. I had a pink feather in my stash that I have had for quite awhile, this was the last one. The color is a perfect compliment to the lady bug paper. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the circle that Tilda is standing on and then mounted it on green and pink paper.

I finished the inside using the same papers and mounted a second stamp of Tilda.

Mojo Monday and Stampavie challenges

This card is made for the Mojo Monday and Stampavie challenges. I used the sketch from Mojo and a Sarah Kay stamp using turquoise and brown for Stampavie.

I love Sarah Kay stamps, they are just so heart warming and fun to color.

I colored them with my copics and used some papers from my stash that I have had for awhile, not really sure of the brand but they work for the Stampavie challenge. I used two different papers for the background and then alternated them for the two strips of paper that the image is mounted on. I used gem brads for each corner and in the lower left corner added some flowers.
The inside of the card is finished in the same manner as the front.

Baby Alvin

I made this card for the challenges at Charisma Cardz and Card Patterns. Card patterns provided the sketch and Charisma is calling for dots, circles, etc. This creation meets that criteria.
The DP are from DCWV and are called Nana's Kids. The papers are all embossed and have glitter imbedded in them. I sat Baby Alvin at the bottom of the matted center and then added the word congrats cut with my Cricut. I added glitter so that it would stand out.
I colored Alvin using my copics.

I finished the inside using the same papers and matted Alvins head from a second stamp.
