Scrappy Frogs challenge #7

Over at Scrappy Frogs we were asked to use one of the digi-stamps from Dustin Pike.This stamp is free and to join in you need to make something using it. You can pick it up here.

So, here is my creation using the image.I just love Dustin's images and decided I had to have more. I just couldn't use another image with this and I remembered seeing the pirates so I purchased them (plus more). I colored the critters with my Copics. I blended several colors several times for the dragon. For some reason it had to be the color that it turned out. I enjoyed coloring these images and the background stamp.

You're Invited - My Grafico challenge

This card is made for the challenge over at My Grafico which is summer or fourth of July. The stamp set used by the design team is for the fourth of July and is available here. I do not celebrate holidays so decided to take the summer direction on this one. The barbecue chef is not part of this set but was found somewhere on the web but can't remember where. I really need to start marking these.I used my Copics to color the chef and the barbecue. I even added a dab of ketchup and mustard on the chef's apron. After all, a good chef is going to get something on his apron, right?
The inside of the card is finished using another barbecue with the lid open. I used my Cricut for the date, time, etc. I also colored another chef, circle punched him and placed a circle mat behind him.

My Shining Star

I made this card for several challenges - Caardvarks, The Sweet Stop, The Corrosive Challenge and Charisma Cards. This is also my entry for the July home page at Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group.I used Tilda and Edwin. These were some images I received from an Image Swap over at Magnolia-licious. It is such a fun group over there, so much is always happening. Be sure to check it out if you are a fan of Magnolia's or would like to become one.
Tilda and Edwin are adorned in Red, white and blue sitting on a park bench. There is a window in the front of the card. On the inside of the card there is a large star for writing a special message. There is also a coordinating envelope.

Baby Tingla - 5 in 1

This card is made for a co-worker who we are having a surprise shower for on Wednesday. She is having a little girl and naming her Maggie. I realized when making this that I was using a Maggie for a Maggie -- lol.

This card uses the sketch over at Sketch Saturday, more than three embellishments for Stamp Something, Cardalicious for baby card with stitching and ribbon, more than four buttons over at Pile it on and the Copics Color challenge using RV02.

I colored Tingla using my Copic colors R20 (cheeks), E11, E21, E00 (face and hands) YG11 (sleeper) and RV02(pacifier, heart and booties). I added some pink glitter to her wings.

The colors used are pinks and greens, the same colors that the baby's room will be. I just love this color combination. The inside of the card is finished using a quote from my stash. I added buttons to the top and doubled matted the vellum. I added a flower at the bottom of the card. On the opposite side is a circle cut out of Tingla. I have placed her in the center of a green flower. I also added some pink glitter to her wings.

My new project - Smiling children

This post does not have any cards or pics. I have decided that I am going to start sending cards to kids in need. I have posted some links on my right side bar of places that I have found on the internet. I have also contacted a couple of hospitals here in my state with one being in the same town that I work. I am hoping that they will allow me to give them some cards for sick children.

I am so excited about this, I can do something worth while with these cards. I just love making cards and have so many, can't give them away fast enough so I am going to work harder at selling some but I am going to use all of my proceeds to purchase supplies so that I can make a child smile. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, makes me feel happy. It will be nice to brighten a child's day.

June Bride with Shy Tilda

I colored Tilda and placed the wedding veil behind her. I made the title For the Bride using Word, resized the digital stamps for embellishments and made a swing from ribbon and pearls.I used some little heart gems for the edge of the swing seat. I also added a couple of organza roses on each side of the title. As is usual these days I colored Tilda with my Copic markers. I added some glitter in the white circles on top of the veil.
The inside of the card is finished with some little bells and ribbons along with a journal mat cut from Nestabilities. Congratulations is cut from my Cricut Expression.

You Shine

This card was made for a colleague who is leaving for a great new position. To begin with I used the sketch from this weeks challenge over at Friday Sketchers. Lo and behold while working on this posting I found four other challenges that this qualifies for - yippee! Here they are:

I made this card using one of the images that came in Image Chain #3. The image chain was started over at Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group where one person starts the chain with 25 stamped images. You take as many as you like, replace so there are 25 images and send it on to the next person. I just love this little Tilda, she is so happy playing with the stars!Tilda is done in pink and green with a large pink flower. I cut a couple of the butterflies from the paper that is used behind Tilda. I colored her with my Copics.
She has a matching envelope made from black and then adorned with the same papers. Since this won't be mailed I added some flowers and green and pink ribbons.
The inside of the card is also finished using the same papers with a journal block for everyone to sign.
