Magnolia Stamp Lovers – Pink and Chocolate

At Magnolia Stamp Lovers our challenge this time was set by Cindy, owner of Stamping Scrapping and it was to use the colors Pink and Chocolate.

I have a lot of paper because I love it so much but when I went looking for chocolate ….. uh oh! ….. I had to dig and dig and dig and finally found something that I liked the combination of and found ONE piece of brown that I could use for the card base.  I am really trying hard not to buy more paper because I have enough, I don’t need any more but it is sooooo fun!!

OK, so on to my card.

I used Tilda picking flowers for my image.  I also used some flowers that I purchased from Stamping Scrapping awhile back. They are so soft, I just love them!!

I colored Tilda with Copics but didn’t write down the numbers (slaps hand) but here is a close up anyway.

Spring has sprung

Yep, you heard right … it is spring!! Well, at least I want it to be. So here is what I decided to do, make a colorful, bright card using Tilda in spring rain

After I made it I decided to look around and see if I could find any challenges it would fit in and I found 7!

So, here is my creation

My card base is yellow and I made it a gate fold with the center image mat covering the opening of the card.  For my mat I used a Martha Stewart Combo Double Loop edge corner punch.

Just Magnolia challenge – Anniversary – and a surprise!!

My 16th wedding anniversary is today so I made my Knight in Shining Armor a special card. This card was made using the pattern at Just Magnolia. This is a great card, I love it and will probably make lots more.

This tent card uses  Tilda with key and I used her to represent the key to my heart. I punched black hearts to go with the red, cream, green and black papers. I added some Prima flowers and a couple of charms. The one hanging from the flower is a heart that says Love. I also sprayed the flower with Smooch spritz.

I cut out the opening using Curved Rectangles Nestabilities. I also added a paper doily behind Tilda and inked it up with a Rangers distress pad.

I didn’t take the best picture of Tilda but I did get a close up of the charm that I attached her to so that she would hang.

The copics that I used are:

  • Skin – E11, E00, E000, R20
  • Dress and hair – E13, E15, E17, E19
  • Key – C3, C5, C7

On the hearts I used Copics spica.

On the back of my card I used the nestie that I used on the front … talk about recycling … for my mat.

Now, for the surprise!!

I am getting close to 100 followers and as soon as I reach that I will be offering some candy …. this will be my first candy offering since entering the world of blogging. It has been a slow climb to reach where I am at but hey, that’s OK. So, followers, tell your friends to come and follow me! For every 25 more followers I receive I will add a new set of candy so there will be more than one winner. Keep watching!!

Have a great day, off to work I go!

Magnolia Ink Gift Box

In the new Fairy Tale issue of Magnolia Ink there is a tutorial for a gift box that I thought was pretty neat so I made it. Of course mine isn’t as good as the one in the magazine but i like the way it turned out. BTW – the challenge at Magnolia Stamp Lovers this time is pink and chocolate and the winner will receive a copy of this magazine, be sure to check it out!

I chose spring colors and Tilda with Lamb for my image. This is also one of the first times I have colored Tilda’s clothes with just one color family but think it came out OK.

So, here it is. I do not have any idea where the paper came from, just pulled it from my stash.

Tilda’s wishing a happy birthday

I made this card for my granddaughter’s 2nd birthday. I used Tilda with cake. This is my first time using my new stamp and she is so cute!

When I made the card I chose the sketch at Card Patterns. Now that it is finished I decided to look and see if it fits into any other challenges and I found three others so that is a total of four.

IMG_0155 (Small)

I used a color combo of pink and chocolate and papers from DCWV Totally Girl and Debbie Mumm.

Here is a close up of Tilda.

IMG_0157 (Small)

I used the following Copics:

  • Skin: E02, E00, E000, R20

  • Dress and cake: R81, R83, R85, R89, Y02, G14
  • Shoes: N3, N5, N7

I followed the sketch for the inside as well.
