Magnolia Stamp Lovers welcomes Autumn

As September draws closer so do the colors of Autumn. Reds, oranges, yellows, greens and browns. I love this time of year with all of the trees changing colors, the cool brisk air and the rustle beneath your feet while walking on leaves.
I’ve had these stamps for awhile but this is the first time I have actually inked them up and colored them. I know, shame on me, but crafting time is at a premium right now so I haven’t had a lot of time to ‘play’.

Turquoise and Brown Challenge at Magnolia Stamp Lovers

Our challenge at Magnolia Stamp Lovers is to use the colors Turquoise and Brown. I chose to use Cowboy Tilda for my image. Isn’t she adorable?

IMG_1086

I also used the sketch from Midnight Madness, it is perfect for a western theme. I used some brads that have been collecting dust for some time and then threaded through some twine. I added a horseshoe charm to the top.

For the grass that Tilda is standing on I used Ultra Fine Flower Soft in Sage, Sand and Toffee. This stuff is so cool! I like it much better than the larger flower soft, it is easier to work with and it doesn’t glob in bunches, it just sprinkles on. I think this is going to be my new choice for whatever my stamp is standing or sitting on. It gives it some dimension I think. Here is a close up.

I used the same twine to make Tilda’s lasso that she is holding and I colored here with the following Copics.

  • Skin – E13, E11, E00, E000, E0000, R22, R21, R20
  • Shirt – BG05, BG02, BG000
  • Hair, hat, skirt and boots – E47, E44, E40

And here is the inside of the card.

Tossa colors your world

Today I found some time to ink up one of my new stamps from the Bildmalarna stamp club.

Meet Tossa the painter.

 IMG_1093 (Small)

Isn’t she adorable? And look at the tree …. do you see the face? I colored her with the following Copics:

  • Skin – E13, E11, E00, E000, E0000, R22, R21, R20
  • Tree – E29, E25, E39, E33, E30, G16, G14, G12
  • Dress – Y08, Y02, Yoo, BV17, BV14, BV00, R17, B05
  • Paint cans – B05, B02, B00, R17, R14, R11, N3, N1, N0, Spica’s

Here is the finished card. The buttons are from SU! and the paper is from my stash.

Interested in Bildmalarna stamps?

Morning Blogging Friends,

I just remembered this morning that while I was at CHA I got a sneak peek of the new stamp club from Lalla. All I can say is Oh my gosh!! These are soooo darn cute! I don't have all of the details but do remember that there were about 10 stamps on the sheet (yes, I counted quickly) of Mimosa and Tossa and they can be used for everyday. There is one that I committed to memory and that is Tossa standing under a tree. Why this one? Lalla told me that there is a face in the tree that you can see when it is stamped! I can't wait!!

Today is the last day to order the club, they will be shipping from Sweden shortly and be received here in the states about a week after they are shipped. Be sure to get yours ordered before the end of the day ..... http://www.bildmalarna.com/item_154/Exclusive-Stamp-Club.htm.

And you know that shipping from Cindy is awesome and lightning fast, as soon as she receives them they are out the door.

Have a great day!

Stephanie
