Happy Sunday to everyone.
My DD is having her third child and it is a boy. She has two little girls and this will be the first grandson on her DH's side. Here she is at 35 weeks.
Isn't she just the cutest? I just love her round belly - lol! You would think with this one being the 17th grandchild that I wouldn't be this excited but I am, it never grows old. This is the very youngest of the 8 (and my baby) and she is having her final baby.
Her DH was stationed in California when the first two little girls were born and all of the family is here in Missouri so we never had the opportunity to have a baby shower so we decided this time we were going to. I wanted to do something special so decided I would make her invitations.
I made 20 invitations using baby Edwin. I used my Cricut cart New Arrival for the front and back. I cut a it's a boy ribbon that I got from Michael's for $1. All of the invitations are different colors but I didn't take a pic of all of them. They are in blues, greens and yellows with the same layout. I used hands and footprints stamps on the back.
OK, so I thought I was done and then I found this cute little buggy pattern at the
Scor-pal site and had to do more (I'm a glutton for punishment). These are just the cutest little things and really are pretty quick to make. I made two of each color and figure I will use them as gifts and as candy mint holders.
I used my Cuttlebug dots folder for the hood and the inside and my Cricut for the hood and the wheels. I added brad buttons and ribbon to finish it off.
Next, I just love that little accordian file that is featured over at the Magnolia-licious DT blog that I had to make another one --- this is my third one! I cut cardstock the size of the pockets and will have each guest write a note of advice for mom and place it in the file for her to look at at another time. I found these little rattles at paper warehouse where I went to get the supplies for the games. Aren't they just the cutest? I bought pink too, these are perfect for little Edwin and baby Tingla!
And finally here is a pic of the set all together.
Thanks for stopping by to take a look. Off to create a little before the shower. Have a great day!
