Scrappy Frogs – Glossy

Our challenge this time at Scrappy Frogs was to add some gloss or crack accent to our project. I added some crackly accent to mine.

Here is the front of mine. I found this pattern at Maria’s blog. There is a SCAL and hand-cut version available free.

Opening the card reveals this little cutie. I cannot remember the name of her, I lost the paper that came with the stamp but believe she is a Sugar Nellie stamp.

IMG_0552 (Small)

I colored her with the following Copics:

  • Skin – E21, E00, E000
  • Shirt – V99, V95, V93, V91
  • Pants – B99, B97, B93, B91
  • Hair and stool – E29, E25, E51
  • Bear – E57, E55, E53, BG09, BG05, BG02, YG03

I added crackle to the bench and also some gloss to the bear’s boots but it doesn’t show in the picture.

Scrappy Frogs challenges now run three weeks so you have plenty of time to create! Hope to see you there!

Sugar Bowl challenge

This is a first inking of this little cutie. I used Sugar Nellie’s Dreamy and she sure is.

I used the sketch at Sugar Bowl along with punches. Here is the sketch:

Hey Chick

This card uses the cute Mimosa with chickens by Bildmalarna stamps.

She fits into the following challenges:

IMG_0742 (Small)

I dug into my scrapbox for the papers. Very proud of myself because I usually leave the scraps for the kids to play with.

I used Nestabilities Label 10 for my matting. I used button brads for my buttons and hardware. My sentiment is computer generated. For my stitching I removed the thread from my sewing machine and stitched. For my lines I used a white gel pen.

IMG_0743 (Small)

I colored Mimosa with the following Copics:

  • Skin – E13, E11, E00, E000, R20
  • Dress & chicks – B14, B11, Y26, Y08, Y04, Yo2, Yoo
  • Apron, basket, shoes and hair – E44, E42, E40

Magnolia Stamp Lovers – Make a Scene

The wonderfully talented Mindy set the challenge for us this time at Magnolia Stamp Lovers. This was definitely a challenge for me as I don’t usually do scene’s but I think that it turned out OK.

I used Tilda carrying a lamb and the Open Gate both from the Magnolia Easter collection.

I thought this little cutie would make a great card for a baby so that is what I did.

IMG_0503 (Small)

I used my Cricut George cartridge to cut out the oval in the front of the card. I used my Martha Stewart Combo Double Loop edge corner punch for the frame around the oval. I made two bows using my bow easy, which I love because I love bows! I hung a couple of baby charms from each bow.

IMG_0504 (Small)IMG_0505 (Small)

I masked Tilda and the gate and colored her with the Copics.

IMG_0502 (Small)

  • Skin – E13, E11, E00, E000, R20, W3
  • Dress – RV23, RV21, RV000, Y15, Y13, Y11, Spica Buttermilk

Friendly Design Team competition

Hello everyone!

Wanted to let you know that there is a friendly little competition going on over at the Stamping Scrapping Design Team blog. All of the DT, including lil' ole' me, sent in a project and now there is a poll going on for everyone to come by and vote on.

I would love it if you have time to take a peek at all of the wonderful projects we created and vote on your favorites as there are three categories:

  • Most creative
  • Best card
  • Best thinking outside of the box
Here is mine, I am shooting for the most creative or thinking outside of the box so I didn't make a card.

I made a phone book that has at least one stamp from all of the teams that I am on. There is a Magnolia stamp, House Mouse stamp and Bildmalarna stamp.

This is the front of the book. It is 6 x 12 and the cover is acrylic.

The inside .....

The back ....

I colored my images with Copics. Here is a close up of Tilda, mouse and frog.

And a close up of the 4 1 1.

And a pic of the inside cover.

Be sure to hop on over to the blog and check out the other creations!
