Whimsy Stamps challenge 29

Over at Whimsy Stamps we were asked to make something Christmas. I chose the cute little reindeer stamp and a project from Stampin Inspirations.

On the front I used the face of the reindeer and added the sentiment from WOJ.

On the back I used the full stamp.
Here is the inside.

Food, Family and Friends

This card was made for four challenges:
I used Tilda and Edwin from the Yummy for the Tummy collection by Magnolia stamps.

I colored them using Copics in yellow and green for the Lime and Lemon at Rosie Dee's. They are also sitting on the only piece of ribbon on the card. I love ribbon and usually have more than this but it fits the card perfectly.

On the inside I found a poem on the internet and made the journaling area the same as the front sketch.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Whimsy challenge - not a card

The challenge at Whimsy stamps this week is to make a project that is not a card so I made a CD holder .... here it is.
I used this cute little dog for my image and my nestabilities for the oval. I added some paper strips, buttons and flowers for accent.

Here is a side profile.

Here is a pic of it open.

Midnight Madness

I made this CD holder using the sketch from Midnight Madness. I used an image from Whiff of Joy, the new winter collection. These stamps are so elegant, I just love to color them.

There are gems, ribbon, a tag, a button, antique corners and roses on top of several layers of cardstock. I colored the image with my Copics. Here is a close up.

On the backside of the cd holder there is a sled that is also from the same set.

Here is a side profile and a pic of the back with velcro dots for closure.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting.

Magnolia Down Under challenge

This card was made using the sketch at the Magnolia Down Under challenge blog. I used Tilda holding candle from the Lucia collection (I think). She is such a cutie!!

The DP is Basic Grey and the embellies are from Michael's. I colored Tilda with Copics. Here is a close up of Tilda.

Here is a pic of the inside of the card using the same papers.

Thanks for coming by and taking a look and hope to see you again soon.

High Hopes recipe

This card was made using the High Hopes sketch from last week that I missed but it so happens that the embellies I added to my card fit into this weeks challenge too so I am entering it -- woohoo!!

I only have a few High Hopes stamps and love each and every one of them so decided to use two on this card. The front of the card has a little 'cleaner' and she is covered with paint. I used dimensional snow for this so the splotches of paint actually stand up on the image.

The High Hopes challenge calls for three flowers, two brads and one sentiment. The flowers each have a brad as the center of their flower. Here is a close up of the image.

The inside of the card has another High Hopes image with the remaining portion of the sentiment.
Here is a close up of the second image.

Thanks for taking the time to visit and hope you have a great week!!

WSC27 - Watercolors

This week the challenge at Whimsy Stamps is to use watercolors in your project. I had to ask the DT how they worked with them and then someone said you can use watercolor pencils. Duh!! I have my priscma watercolors that I used before I purchased my Copics. Boy, did I feel dumb!!

So, I dusted them off and this is what I came up with.

I used the Whimsy stamp of the cat with her paw in the fishbowl. The cat looks happy but the poor fish looks a little scared .... LOL. I used my Cricut for the sentiment, two sided paper for the mat and a couple of pink gems for the corners. Here is a close up of the coloring.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join us this week over at Whimsy.

Stampavie DT call

Stampavie is looking for two new design team members. How I would love to be a part of that team! I love all of their creations and the stamps. Here is my entry for this call.

I used the sketch for the current challenge, which I am also entering, and on of my new Sarah Kay stamps, Noel Joy.I was looking for a vintage look so I used some DP from DCWV Luxury stack that I purchased from JoAnn's. I made this a gate fold card with more space on the left than on the right. This sketch fit just perfect for this!

I added some roses, ribbon and pearls around the matted picture. I also embossed a stamp with gold embossing that says Thinking of You. This stamp is from Whimsy Stamps.

I added a small brass envelope to the upper corner with more ribbon and some snow on the ground and the mailbox. Here is a close up of Noel Joy. I matted her using my oval Nesties and then cut out a matting behind using the outside of the largest Nestie.

The shadow that is across her is from the wonderful sunshine, and warm temps, that we had this weekend.

On the inside of the card I again used my Nesties, a few more pearls the same dp.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Whimsy challenge 26 - Round and round

Happy Monday,

This week at Whimsy challenges the challenge is round and round. We were asked to create something with lots of circles.

I found that rather easy because of the dp that I used for this card. It has circles everywhere!! I love the stripes in it also.

For my image I chose the Whimsy lion. He is so cute and so easy to color. Here is a close up.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to hear from you.

Recipe for Friendship

This card qualifies for four challenges:
I used Tilda from the Yummy Collection and DCWV kitchen collection for the dp.

I colored her with Copics to match the papers. I also used a new MS punch. I added some flowers and a cute little set of spoons. Here is a close up of Tilda.

She is just too cute holding that wooden spoon behind her back and her little pigeon toed feet!

For the inside I found a poem that describes friendship.
