Tilda wishes everyone a New Year

Welcome to 2010 - can you believe it??

I made a new Tilda for several challenges - 6 to be exact
I used the Tilda from the Magnolia Sweden winter release. As usual, she is as adorable as can be.

For the card itself I used the pattern for the Joy fold available at Dutch Dare. I made some alterations to it because I wanted it bigger but it is the same pattern.

The DP is from the Rustic Stack by DCWV. I used Tim Holtz distress ink (first time) to go around the edges of the card and all of the DP. Considering I have never done this before I think it turned out OK.

For the front of my card I used the Champagne bottle and glass. All is colored with Copics. I used a nestabilitie for on the front.

For the inside I used Tilda with flowers (not sure what she should be called) and since she looked to me like she should be hanging from something I have her hanging from the zero in 2010.

I really tried to 'age' the look of her using Copics and think it turned out OK until I colored her with black hair. I really don't think she should have had black hair for this but oh well I went ahead with it. I added the distressing ink to the flowers and the letters/numbers. These were cut using the Cricut Doodletype cart. Here is a look at the whole inside of the card.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. I would also like to extend my wishes to you for a happy, safe new year.

This really came out nice for a 2010 card... I am really loving it I guess because I always make a few New Years cards for in case I forgot a few friends after Christmas or if I met someone new in the meantime. I love this idea; do you have a shop? Carol M in TX/carolswingster77@aol.com

Fabulous card Stephanie, great design and use of the colours, totally inspired having Tilda hang on to the 0 (must remember this - I have trouble thinking about what she could hang from) and I think the black hair is just right - it helps her 'pop' from the card.
Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at CC.
