Morning!
Well, I don’t have a creative post this morning but while in the process of clearing off my table this morning and putting things away I thought I would show you my ribbon organizer.
I love ribbon and I like to use it on just about everything I create. Of course I have the bow easy to help me make perfect bows every time but I also found that I was digging to get to my ribbon if it wasn’t on a spool. Organizing the spools is easy, stick it on a dowel rod and hang it, stand it, whatever and it’s done. What about all of those loose lengths though? How in the world do you keep them organized? I have the answer.
It’s this neat little creation called the Ribbon Ring. Ever heard of it? I hadn’t and in fact I had purchased these and they sat in a drawer for months before I decided to dig them out. Working full time only gives me the weekends to craft so I don’t like to waste my time organizing until it just gets to the point that I can’t stand it anymore and have to stop and do it, that’s when I remembered I had these.
So, I took my wadded up, tangled, tied lengths of ribbon and organized them. I went from a tangled up heap to this:
Now, ignoring all of the mess around it see the lengths of ribbon hanging there? I have very large windows in my house and because I am cheap I purchased shower curtain rods to use for my window curtains. My spool ribbon hangs on a dowel rod that I have hanging and then my ribbon lengths hang on there by a metal ring.
Here are a couple of close ups. So far I have four of these and I have more of the little ribbon tags on order.
If I need a piece of ribbon I just look through and slide it off the tag. These tags are coated and since I am so impatient I just grab the ribbon and pull if I want the whole length and it is just slides right off. I have found that I can’t do that with rick rack because it is folded over but every other ribbon type I can.
I just wanted to share this with my blogging friends, I really like this ribbon ring and wanted to let you know. Best part? These are only $5.99 for a starter set. It comes with the ring and 30 tags. If you are interested be sure to check out Stamping Scrapping, my favorite place to shop!

I've got a ton of those ribbon rings too and love, love, LOVE them!!! It makes it so much easier to find ribbon when I need it and looks pretty while just hanging around.
I also use Ribbon Rings and they are fantastic. I highly recommend them too and just order another set of 90!!
Happy Organizing,
Lis
