My Card Shack: Surprise for a friend blog hop at Make It Crafty

I have a friend that is moving to Florida and wanted to make a special going away gift. I used this frame

And made this

I made an overlay using chipboard and Tim Holtz alcohol inks and just daubed away. This is the result.

From Make it Crafty I used these lovely beach and summer images – beach umbrella, Dylan, sandcastle and Ebony. I printed them onto MiC blending card and colored them with Copics.

I took some black glitter foam stickers that I had in my stash, painted them white using Picket Fence distress paint and then inked them with Archival Cobalt ink. The flourishes are the Flower and Leaf flourishes from Make It Crafty. I also colored them with the cobalt ink … should have colored them white first too ….

Now, if you did not start the hop with Kasey you should go back and start there, wouldn’t want you to miss any of the lovely creations!
