4 challenges, 1 card

I really got lucky on this one. The challenge from the Magnolia-licious Yahoo group is to take a regular Tilda stamp and turn it into a butterfly ..... hmmm, been thinking about this one for awhile now and hadn't come up with anything. On Saturday I started working on something. I bought some new papers from HL - Laundry Line by My Mind's Eye. These are great papers and just had to break into them. I also found a cool butterfly on the Cricut Indie Art cart that would work great for the wings. I finished the card on Sunday (not a very productive weekend) but I really like how it turned out. It also qualifies for 4 challenges: Magnolia-licious Yahoo group, Magnolia's Down Under, Rosie-Dee's and Dannie's Dreams.

I made a 6 x 6 card that expands to 12" (not sure what you call this one). The papers I used have greens, browns and a splash of blue. I used the sentiment of Butterfly Kisses. They are layered and cut on my Cricut at 1/2" using the Tear Drop cart. The bottom color is olive green and the top is ecru.

I mounted her on a cutout from one of my Storybook Cricut cart and then embossed using my Cuttlebug. I added a ribbon for her to sit on and her wings are cut of vellum. I originally added glitter to these but they curled so bad that I redid them and glad I did! I mounted her in the center on one side of the card. Tilda is colored using Copics. Now comes the really interesting part ......
I was unsure of what to do with the inside and through discussion with others that is what it turned out to be.

I stamped Edwin with his butterfly net and then scanned him on the puter and flipped the image so I would have him facing the opposite direction (I know, I shouldn't have done this but it is for my own use - forgive me please). One of each was placed on the 3" section on the inside of the card. He is also colored with Copics. I stamped the butterflies and colored them all different colors and placed them in the center and with Edwin --- and his twin. The sentiment inside says 'caught for you'
