Magnolia Down Under – challenge 32

I just love Magnolia stamps!! I wanted to take a shot at the challenge at Magnolia Down Under which is pink and gray. You would think with all of the paper I have (paper nut) I would have this color combo. NOT!!

I started a card a couple of times and just didn’t like how the papers were meshing so I went on a search through my paper drawers and found a sheet that had roses on it and it was gray. Hmmm …. but still no pink. I wondered what would happen if I colored on the paper with Copics. Hmmm … starting to take shape. OK, so now I don’t have any pink roses. Colored on the roses paper why not color my white paper roses pink. Worked!! So, with all that, here is my take on the pink and gray challenge at Magnolia Down Under.

DSC01660 (Small)

It’s not as a dramatic effect as I wanted but I do like the way that it turned out. As you can see I only colored a couple of roses on the gray paper. I used Christmas Roses Tilda for my image, added some rhinestones and my colored roses around an oval nestie.

The sentiment circle is from the Sentiment Salon. The Sentiment Salon is a new blog offering digital sentiments and is owned by Deb.  Take a hop on over to the Sentiment Salon and see her great sentiments!

Here  is a close up of my roses that I colored.

I used the following Copics:

  • Skin: E21,00,000
  • Dress and roses: E40,41,42,RV21
  • Hair: N4,6,8

And for the inside I colored a couple more of the roses, added a bow and rhinestones.

Thanks for visiting!
