Play Hard

I received my stamps the other day in the mail and one of them was Sporty by Sugar Nellie. I just love these Manga stamps, they are adorable and so fun to color!!

I am entering this in the following challenges:

• Sketch and Stash – sketch – using new stamp , neglected papers and brads

So, without further adieu here is my card.

Isn’t he just adorable? He reminds me of a sports player so I wanted to go with this theme. The sports items in each corner are brads that I purchased a long time ago from Oriental Trading Co. I used my Graphically Speaking cartridge for the sentiment and the rectangle.

I colored Sporty with the following Copics:

Bildmalarna Challenge 10 – Father’s Day

There is a new challenge starting today at Bildmalarna challenges and it was my turn to choose the challenge. Since Father’s Day is fast approaching that is what I chose. 

Here is my creation.

I used the adorable Mimo Fishing for my image. Isn’t he just too cute?

I used a sentiment from one of my Stampin Up sets, a fish charm and a button that says Gone Fishin.

My DP is the new Tim Holtz Lost & Found paper stack.  I love this stack as you have 12 x 12 and 6 x 6 sheets in one pack and they are dimensioned by the size so these little bottle caps are not too big for this card. I poked holes in the card and then laced through some cream colored twine.

 

For Mimo I used the following Copics:

• Skin: E13, E11, E00, E000, R20, R01
• Hair, net and pole: E29,E27,E25, R27
• Clothes: R27,R24, R22, B97, B95, B93, B91, G3, G2, G00, YR24, YR21, YR20

Magnolia Stamp Lovers – Summer theme

Here is our first creation using Tilda in Swimsuit. She is such a great stamp and is one of the older Magnolia stamps but she is so adorable!!

I used some summer themed papers, tulle and charms that I had in my stash. I also used my new Zutter Distrezz It All.  I love this little tool, it is so much easier on my wrists and it goes so much faster than using a hand held one! I masked Tilda onto the innertube. I colored her with the following Copics:

• Water – BG13, BG11, BG10

And the inside. I used some more tulle and tied some twine around the center. I thought this would look really cool with sea shells or starfish but I didn’t have any of those. Imagine that, I didn’t have something ….. hmmmm, not good!

Loving Wishes with Mimosa

The challenge at Bildmalarna challenge blog this time is a color challenge …. yellow, blue and red. This is a great color combo!

Along with the Bildmalarna challenge this also fits into:

• Sketch Saturday - sketch

 

I used two Bildmalarna images for my creation. This Mimosa is from the Summer Stamp club release and the rose fence is from the Summer release. I have masked the images and also double stamped the fence to make it a little longer.

For Mimosa I used the following Copics:

Humorous Birthday

Here is a birthday card that I made for another friend. This person is someone that I have not met in person but through his wife feel that I know him pretty well. He is much like her, a wonderful person so I wanted to make something special for him but also wanted it to be humorous. Here it is:

 

For the front of the card I used Mimo Tree which is in the new Summer 2010 Bildmalarna release. I also used the Birthday wishes banner from the Bildmalarna stamp club.

This card is unique in that it is somewhat of a mini book. This is the center section. The sentiment is mine and says: Memories of youth are here to stay …. remember them well ……

cause now you’re old and gray!

Here is the final section of the card. I used this old man stamp but not sure who makes it as I have had it for a long time.

So, who does this card belong to? Kevin Echtinaw. Cindy and Kevin are owners of Stamping Scrapping and today is his birthday. If you read this post please wish him a happy birthday!!

Happy Birthday …. to a dear friend

This card I made for a special friend at work. I have known her now for about 13 years and she is an awesome lady so I wanted to make her something special.

I used the sketch from Midnight Madness as my starting point and then created. This card falls into the following challenges:

• One Stop Craft challenge – Summer Breeze
• All sorts – birthday

I used my wonderful Daisy stamp for my image. I feel in love with her a long time ago and is one of my favorite stamps. I don’t use her a lot anymore but it sure was nice to ink her up again.

I followed the sketch at Midnight Madness but altered it a little. Instead of the three metal charms being on the side I added them to the bottom. I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 13 for my mat. I then traced around the outside of the label and used it for my blue border.

I colored Daisy with the following Copics:

• Skin – E11, E00, E000, R20, Roo
• Pants – BG07, BG05, BG02
• Grass and leaves – YG07
• Shirt – YR02, YR00, YR000
• Belt – E35
• Hair – Y23, Y21, E35

I used Prima fairytale roses and a MS punch for the leaves.

   

The charms I purchased at Michael’s some time back and finally pulled them out.

And the inside I used my Cricut By George cartridge for the Birthday sentiment.

Graduating Huntsville Mo style

Well, I’m a day late with this post. Been a little puny, missed work and had to take a trip to the doc but feeling much better. It’s amazing what a steroid shot can do to help you breathe and what antibiotics do when you don’t realize it’s something more than asthma!

A couple of weeks ago my oldest granddaughter graduated kindergarten. In the town that I live in they have an actual graduation service, I called it a mini-graduation. I had a wonderful time, they had a recital with the three kindergarten classes and a great time was had by all.

With graduations come cards …. and money …. and Graduation Tilda. Here is the card that I made.

Over at Magnolia Stamp Lovers our challenge this go around is dimension. I think you can see it pretty well in the picture here that her hat and arms are raised. Here is a side profile.

 

I used greens as this is the colors of the school. For my papers I used the new Tim Holtz Retro Grunge paper stack that I purchased from Stamping Scrapping. I love this paper! One thing I like about it is in the paper pack some of the patterns are reduced to 6 x 6. There are several pages using the designs that are in this size and then they are also 12 x 12 so if you like a pattern but find it big you can use the 6 x 6 as it is proportionately reduced to 6 x 6.

I matted Tilda using the new Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 13. These were released at CHA in January and I just love them! They are large and can fit an image with plenty of room.

In each corner of the card I used Prima Mini Roses Black-Gray. There are three different shades in each package and these just looked perfect with this paper. The little charm that I used says Just for you and I received this from my wonderful cyber friend Lisa. I just love little charms, they are so hard to find in my area and they really add to the cards.

 

Now, for Graduation Tilda. I stamped her three times and cut out her arms on one and the hat on the two others. For her arms I put dimension under the sleeves but not on the shoulders as I didn’t want her shoulders to stick out. They just have tape and are taped down. For her hat I used thin dimension for the top portion and then used a little thicker for the third round portion.

I colored her with the following Copics:

• Skin – E13, E11, E00, E000, R20,R00
• Hair – YR23, Y23, Y21
• Gown – G09, G05, G02
• Shoes – N8, N6, N4
• Scroll – E42, E41, E40

Springtime with Gruffie

The challenge this month at House Mouse and Friends is to create something springy. I decided to use Gruffie with Lilac Bouquet.

I used some springtime paper with lots of flowers and colors. I added some purple ribbon and some purple gems. I matted my Gruffie using Nestabilities Big Scalloped Rectangles.

Ballerina Tilda

I received some new stamps from Stamping Scrapping and couldn’t wait to get them inked up. I just love this little Tilda.

I am entering her in a couple of challenges:

• Magnolia-licious Highlites –sketch by Becca Feeken
• Crafty Cardmakers – distressing

I used Ballerina Tilda for my focal point and I made an easel card.

 

I used some ballerina paper that I have had for about four years so not sure who made it. I also used the new Spellbinders Labels 13 to mat her on and also the sentiment. I matted her on yellow and pink and then went around the yellow with Ranger Stickles. I just love these stickles, they are so pretty when they are dried and usually only have to make one pass to get complete coverage.

For Tilda I used the following Copics:

• Skin – E13, E11, E00, E000, R20, Roo
• Hair – E35, YR23, Y23
• Dress – R85, R83, R81, Y11

My flowers are the Prima fairytale roses and are available in several different colors. I sprayed them with Smooch Spritz.

 

Bildmalarna Mimosa meets Priscilla Styles

Seems so long ago that I was able to create something for Priscilla Styles challenges …. and it has been! I love going to their blog and seeing all of the wonderful creations that their DT and participants create, the style is so unique. I am also entering this in another favorite ... Roses on Paper who is challenging to use Pink, yellow and orange ... this is a great fit! There is also this same color challenge, with the addition of green at Sweet Stampin.

They have a wonderful sketch this time and just had to find the time to do it so here is my creation …. but first …. put your blinders on because it is BRIGHT!!

Here she is! I used the new Mimosa Hello stamp from the Summer 2010 collection. This stamp just came out and is available at Stamping Scrapping along with a lot of other cuties.

I used paper from The Paper Studio all seasons pack and it is bright but I love it!

For Mimosa I used the following Copics

• Clothes – Y17, Y15, Y11, YR18, YR14, YR12, RV19, RV14, RV13

Bildmalarna Stamp Club

Wow! I received my stamps from the Bildmalarna Stamp club and they are just awesome, I had to get right to work! This stamp club is completely different from some of the others as these stamps are only available by purchasing the club, they are not released at a later time. The club runs $54.99 and is delivered four times a year and when they say they are available they are. No wondering when they are going to come out or if an order has been received.

Besides the stamp club Stamping Scrapping also offers a special on these cuties but it is only available at Stamping Scrapping. When you purchase a Bildmalarna stamp you receive a Bildy Buck. Collect 11 Bildy Bucks and you can receive a free stamp. How cool is that?
