Rustic inspiration

closeup (Medium)

This week at Make it Crafty one of our challenges is to color rusty iron. This is my project.

002 (Medium)

This was a fun project and rather challenging because I couldn't get the look I wanted at first so I just kept coloring and mixing colors until it started looking like I wanted. This is the end result.  So, what colors do you think gives a rustic look? A rusty tin can? I liked the color combo of Copics W5 and E15 the best but there are a lot of colors in this scene. While I was coloring this I thought it would be a great plaque for Home Sweet Home so I cut out letters on my Cricut and adhered them to the picture. This will proudly be displayed in my livingroom!
