Jessica’s Teddy

This card is for my granddaughter who turns 6 soon. She is such a pretty little girl with long flowing hair just like Jessica so it is a perfect match!

008 (Medium)

I have been wanting to work on my shadows on an images. Why is Jessica's Teddy cut out? Well, I didn't like the way the shadows looked so I cut her out on added pop dots. I decided that if I took pictures at different angles I could get an idea of where the shadows would fall. I laid her on a piece of white paper and took photos from different angles. I thought I would share those with you.

002

I took this picture standing to the left of the photo. This would be the light shining from the right.

003 (Medium)

This picture was taken directly above the image. Notice it casts a smaller shadow but on the left side. This means the light would be coming from the right.

005 (Medium)

This picture was taken from the top at an angle. This would be with the light behind the image.

It’s time to Sew

At Totally Tilda our challenge is sewing room plus a Tilda Image. You need to feature in some way at least ONE of the following on your work.

COTTON REEL
SEWING MACHINE
MANNEQUIN/DRESS FORM

If you use the SEWING TILDA stamp (the one used in some of the DT cards) this will count as the Sewing Machine..if you want to use more then lets see it..

Our generous Sponsor for this challenge is Nikki from Bunny-Zoe crafts
gif maker
And the Prize is

For my card I used Tailor Tilda. I stamped her onto Copic X-press with Tim Holtz distress ink – Vintage Photo and colored her with Copics.

Come on over and join us at Totally Tilda. We would love to see your sewing creations.

Brown all the way around

At Make it Colourful our challenge is to color with browns or take the plunge and color the entire image in Sepia tones.

For my coloring I used digital Ardelia. She is a lovely portrait image with tons of curls to color.

A CAS card here with the whole focus on Ardelia. She is just too gorgeous to cover her up with embellishments.

I used Copics as my medium and also added some colored pencils ….. E49, E47, E44, E43, E42, E41, E40

TIP – if you get shine on your image (seems to happen most with me using the E family) just take some colored pencil close to the color and color over the shine. If you over color with the pencil that’s OK, it erases and your Copic color remaiins.

Come on over and join us at Make it Colourful, we would love to see your Brown creations.

Sweet Stephanie

003

Sweet Stephanie is part of the carefree collection at MiC. You can find that collection here. I took on the challenge, again, of coloring her no lines. I just can't seem to get away from doing this, I love it! If you look really close at Sweet Stephanie you can see that the flowers I added to the card are the same flowers that she is holding. All of my flowers were white so I colored them using the same Copic colors as those used in her bouquet.

I used the following Copics to color her with

  • Skin - E21, E000, W0, W2, R11, BV20
  • Underskirt, sleeve ruffle, shoes - V25, V22, V20
  • Dress - R24, R22, R20, W3
  • Flowers - V22, V20, R27, R24, R22, Y17, Y13, RV11, RV10, G28, G99, G24
  • Hair - 100, C7, C5, C4
