Alexander

Today I would like to show you a card I made using Alexander from Make it Crafty.

005 (Medium)

I went a little different this time and made my card 5 x 7. I thought it would look good as a taller card since Alexander is tall. I like the way this one turned out. I used DCWV Timeless for. I inked the edges of the all of the DP with Tim Holtz distress inkBlack Soot. I added Tim Holtz sprocket gears, memo pins and game spinners. For the corner pieces I used Make it Crafty Delicate Corners chipboard (love these things!!), colored them with Black Soot and then added Adirondack Gold Paint Dabber. The birthday sentiment is from JustRite.

This is a close up of the Delicate corners.

007 (Medium)

I printed Alexander onto Make it Crafty blending card and then colored with Copics. After coloring I took some more distress ink – tea dye, antique linen and black soot and sponged the edges but with the antique linen I went over the entire image.

006 (Medium)

Copics used – E11, E00, E000, R11, R12, T6, T5, T3, T2, B39, B37, N8, N6, N5, N4, N3, E49, E59, E57

Australia Day–Hop along with MiC

Happy Friday! Over at Make It Crafty we are having a blog hop to celebrate Australia Day. If you didn’t arrive here from Bron’s blog you might want to start with Aeryn of the MiC store blog and work your way back but make sure to visit all of the lovely ladies … you will see some fantastic creations and I wouldn’t want you to miss anything.

One lucky person leaving a comment on one of the blogs will win a great surprise from Zoe so make sure to leave us all some love, you will be very pleased if you are selected!

I took a different road this time and made a wall hanging and I am proudly displaying this in my studio! I had this idea in my head and as I colored this wonderful scene it started coming to life. I used Aussie Outback Sheila for my character and the Australian Outback Farm Road for my scenery.
021 (Medium)
I printed this scene onto Make it Crafty blending card and colored using Copics. After it was all colored I cut it using Spellbinders Grand Circles and inked the edge of the scene using Tim Holtz distress inkBlack Soot, Vintage Photo and Antique Linen. I also added the same to the cardboard and tag to give it an aged look. The tag I stamped using a Tim Holtz stamp.
023 (Medium)
Copic list: E18, E15, E11, E21, E00, E000, W5, W4, W3, E49, E39, E35, E31, E30, B45, B41, B000, B0000, R02, R01, R29, R27, R24, R22, R21, E59, E57, E23, E53, BG96, G94, G99, YG95, R39, R37, R35, Y26, E29, E27

Midway #63 at Totally Tilda

Today at Totally Tilda it is our midway post for the challenge of Tilda in trousers. This is one of my favorite Tilda’s, Tilda with Bowknot from the Shabby Chic collection.

001 (Medium)

Our sponsor this time is  the lovely Nikki from Bunny-Zoe crafts

And the Prize for one lucky winner is;

This card is 6 x 6, my favorite size because there is lots of real estate to play with. For my circle I used the We-R Mini 8 Scallop punch. All of the papers are from my stash. Flowers are from Wild Orchid and friend Patricia. The corners are chipboard from Make It Crafty. I love these things, no matter what color your project is you can color these to match. I added Tim Holtz distress ink over the top of Tilda after I colored her and then put a piece of Tim Holtz self adhesive frosted film on top. You can’t really see it but it adds a nice shimmer and at the same time protects the image.

I stamped Tilda onto Make It Crafty blending card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

002 (Medium)

I colored her with the following Copics:

  • Skin – E13, E11, E00, E000, R11
  • Clothes – V17, V15, V12, YG67, YG63, YG61, B99, B97, B95, B93, B91
  • Hair and hat – E47, E44, E43, E42, E41

And a couple of close ups

Missing You

face (Medium)

I am off of work today and have decided that today is all about me ….. well almost, I do have to share my day with laundry.

I am starting to get hooked on this no lines coloring …. taking me to a new level and challenging me to do better. This is my first attempt at coloring a digital with no lines. There is a great tutorial by Delphine over at the Make It Crafty Inspiration Blog showing how to do this using Word.

001 (Medium)

I do have to admit that this one really challenged me. Digital seems to be a little tougher than regular stamping but I did it! Not to thrilled with all of the colors but kept going. To get the fine lines that were too thick for my Copics I used my Prismacolor Watercolor pencils after I dusted them off ….. lol.

For my card I used Alora Collection DP by Bo Bunny, Spellbinders Basic Card Creator – Set A, Spellbinders Basic Card Creator – Set B, Spellbinders Nested Pennants, Spellbinders Grand Decorative Circles, Spellbinders Grand Circles and SSD Beaded Circles stamps for my sentiment. The bow is made using Becca’s Peg Bow maker and Ice Blue metallic ribbon. Flowers are from Wild Orchid and pearls are from my stash.

Here is a close up of So Sorry from Saturated Canary. I printed her onto Make It Crafty blending card from my Kodak printer … love this printer. No heat setting or anything, print and color!

002 (Medium)

  • Skin/Eyes – E21, E00, E000, R11, B14, B12
  • Clothes – R24, R22, R21, R20, BG57, BG53, BG11, YG21, YG00, YG0000
  • Hair – E99, YR27, YR24, YR21

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Red Coloring at Make It Crafty

Head (Medium)
Today is my first posting as a designer for Make It Crafty and I am ecstatic!
This is Juliette. I just loved coloring her and she looks great in red. I also used Victorian Chaise and then merged the two images together. I wanted the card to be as elegant as Juliette so I used Flower Leaf Swirls and painted them with Adirondack Gold Paint Dabber.
018 (Medium)
I printed Juliette onto MiC Blending Card (I so love this stuff!!) and started coloring, and coloring, and coloring. Loved every minute of it! I colored her with the following Copics:
  • Skin - E11, E21, E00, E000, R12
  • Dress - R29, R27, R24, R22, C5, C4, C2, C0, W6, W4
  • Flowers - R21, R20, R11
  • Hair - E35, E53, E50
  • Chaise - Y28, Y26, Y23, N6, N4, N3
Hope you have enjoyed my first post. Talk to you soon.

Totally Tilda challenge #63

Today a new challenge starts at Totally Tilda and we want to see Tilda wearing trousers. Easy right?

This time we are very lucky as we are sponsored by the lovely Nikki from Bunny-Zoe crafts
gif maker
And the Prize is

For my card I used Tilda Blowing Hearts. She is perfect for this challenge. I used the Magnolia’s Romantic Lace die and merged them together on the corners … a lot of measuring but I like how it turned out.004 (Medium)

I create a box using Pink Elganza Web ribbon and added a Tim Holtz Christmas Muse tokens. Flowers are from Wild Orchard Crafts and the papers are Butterfly Gardens from Stampin’ Mindy’s etsy shop.

I stamped Tilda with Archival Ink – Pale Ochre onto Make It Crafty blending card. The Pale Ochre was light enough for me to color her with no lines. This was my very, very first one I colored this way … it was fun and I loved watching her come to life.

001 (Medium)

I colored her with the following Copics:

  • Skin – E21, E00, E000, R12
  • Clothes and hearts – R24, R22, R20, B99, B97, B95, B93, B91
  • Shoes and hair – E27, E37, E23
  • Ground – W6, W4, W2

What a Sweetheart

Today I would like to share with you my GDT card for the Hearts and Flowers challenge at Little Darlings Challenges. I am so happy that Sheri asked me to be a guest designer, the Little Darlings images are such fun!

For my card I chose to use What a Sweetheart from the Cutie Pies collections and she is just that. I also decided to give no lines coloring another try. I really like the way these turn out, they have so much dimension.

009 (Medium)

The papers I used on this card are from Stampin’ Mindy’s Etsy shop and are called Cold Hearted collection and they are digital. They are great being 6 x 6 and I can print them whenever I want them, never have to worry about running out of these gorgeous designs. The adorable heart swirl and the oval are cut using my Silhouette Cameo.

I heat embossed the cut out to add some shine and to make it a deeper burgundy color.

011 (Medium)

I stamped my image with a light color ink onto Make It Crafty blending card and then colored her with Copics. I outlined her eyes, nose and mouth using a colored pencil.

010 (Medium)

  • Skin – E11, E21, E00, E000, R12, R11
  • Clothes – B04, B02, B00, B000, R59, R56
  • Hair – E49, E47, E44
  • Hat – E43, E42, E42, E41

By the way, if you haven’t heard, Little Darlings is having a Design Team call so be sure to hop on over and check it out!

Isn’t she just the cutest??

Isn’t he just the cutest little monkey ever? Sitting there listening to tunes on his cassette player? Do you still have a cassette player and cassettes? I don’t but I used to have several, they were the tops!
For my card I used Bo Bunny Camp-a-lot papers, Elganza Web ribbon – brown, Copics and eyelet buttons from my stash. Here is a close up of Chester.
007 (Medium)
On the cassette player I used Inkssentials Glossy Accents to give it some shine and to give it the feel of plastic.
