Batter Up!

Today starts a new challenge at Totally Tilda and the theme is Tomboy Tilda. We want to see your Tilda creations with a tomboy theme and guess what …. No pink.

I took a different approach this time and using my Silhouette Cameo created this fun card. The baseball hat is actually a card pattern but I only used half. The baseball bat and ball were also cut using the cameo. The ticket stubs are from Tim Holtz. The cardstock used to for the hat, ball and bat is Bazill and the cameo just loves it! Fantastic cutting.

I stamped Baseball Tilda with Memento Tuxedo Black onto blending card and I colored her with Copics – E11, E00, E000, R12, R27, R24, R22, N7, N5, N3, N1, N0, E53, E51, E50, E57, E37, E23.

Inspired by a song–On the Good Ship Lollipop

I loved watching Shirley Temple movies when I was a little girl and one of my favorite songs was on the Good Ship Lollipop which is what I have fashioned my card from. I made a circle easel card and cut the center out to make it look like a life preserver. I then wrapped ribbon around it and mounted it to the front of my card. I colored Tilda with Copics and added flowers from Wild Orchid crafts.

Blast from the past

Meet Desiree from Make it Crafty. She is one of the adorable ladies from an older collection, 60’s Girlfriends. I felt like coloring a scene today so I used several elements from the Urban collection also from Make it Crafty. Working with the 60’s girlfriends reminds me of being a teenager and this scene brings back memories of those days. Remember boomboxes as they used to be called? You hardly see them anymore and really no reason to with cell phones and iPods.

This is a full picture of my scene. The scene turned out like I imagined but then I didn’t know what to do with it on a card so decided on a clean card with the scene being the focal point. I couldn’t just set the image on the DP so I added woven fibers (and for the life of me I cannot remember what it is called …. ugh) behind the matted scene. It’s still a little plain but there is a lot going on in the scene so just left it as you see it.

I colored my scene with the following Copics:

Totally Tilda DT Call

Yes, it is that time again. If you are a visitor to my blog you know that I design for Totally Tilda but the term is nearing it’s end. This is one of the most fun, best bunch of ladies I have had the pleasure of being a part of and I would like to continue on. If I do not make it back that is OK too because it has been a memorable year ….. so before I show you my card I want to send a shout out to all of the lovely Tildarettes and say thanks for the memories .

So, the theme for the DT call is Summer and as soon as I saw the theme I knew what I was going to do because to me summer is sunshine, lovely scenery and barbecue’s. It is a time for family and friends and just enjoying the lovely weather so here is my take on the challenge.

Congratulations!

It's that time of year ... summer and weddings. My daughter recently got married so I used the adorable Just Married Car. 

I tried a new technique, at least for me, by adding a sunset in the distance. I started with my darkest color and just kept blending them out finishing with my lightest color (listed below). After I colored the sunset I colored the background. All in all I am pleased with the outcome. Why not try something a little out of your comfort zone, you might be surprised by the outcome. After all it's all about creating, doing what you love and having fun in the process.
