New Release–Digital Delights

Today I would like to share with you a stair step card I made using the newest releases from Digital Delights.

Meet Mr. Tiki and the Luau accessories and sentiment sets. Aren’t they just adorable? These are just a few of the pieces of the newest collection. You really need to go check them out. They are a perfect addition to any summer themed card or scrapbook layout.

I had a great time making this! I used several layers of grass using my grass die and of course colored with Copics onto Cryogen white cardstock. Do you work with digitals at all? They are great, you can resize for a perfect fit every time. Also, let me tell you about my Kodak ESP printer. You just print and color. No heat setting is necessary and I have never had a line smear …. it’s great! OK, enough rambling.

Happy Birthday with Daisy

A second post for the day, pretty good for me .

This card uses one of the first stamps, pre-Magnolia, that I ever purchased. Her name is Daisy by Elisabeth Bell. I wanted to do something a little different and she always makes me smile so I stamped her up. Here is the result.

There is so much inspiration out on the web with all of the challenges and I just love that Feline Playful does an awesome job keeping track of the hundreds out there. When I lose my mojo I can go to their site and find plenty of ideas. This particular one is a sketch challenge by Elphine Home.

Missing You

Today I would like to show you my creation for Digital Delights.

I really like the way this turned out. I used the Lonely Pups set, Spring Accessory set and the Missing You sentiment set.  I added flowers to the tree and colored the images with Copics. I added dimension by placing all of these on pop dots and then cut some grass using a grass die. I added some Imaginisce gems to the fence.

Baby Tilda gift bag

Well, this is a first for me. I decorated a bag ….. hmmm, could this be a new thing? Not likely as I don’t know where to get these little bags ….. hahaha …… but it was fun.

So, this morning I went searching for inspiration and found tons (of course, it is everywhere) and found a few challenges to enter. I am entering my bag in the following challenges:

Here is the back of the bag. I couldn’t just decorate the front so used the same sketch for the back.

Butterflies all around …. and a mess

Today I learned a new technique while viewing the live broadcast on Stamping Scrapping’s Technique and Tutorial site (link in the sidebar if interested).

Cindy showed us how to use the Inkssentials Cut-N-Dry pad. Wow, is this awesome! Here is what I made. Cindy always records her broadcasts so I was able to look through it several times and can always refer back to it when I forget how I did this.

I followed the sketch at Stampin for the Weekend and went from there. Along with entering the Stampin for the Weekend challenge I am also entering this card in the following challenges:

I made a pull out tag and then stamped a sentiment from SSD Floral Blessings stamp set.

Here is a close up of the stamped butterflies. Stamping Scrapping is now carrying Canvas that can be stamped on. It is adhesive back and is really cool!

For the inside of my card I stamped again and then used some of the scraps I had left to decorate the inside.

Blue without you

Today I would like to show you a card using Lillyrose Dragon from Magnolia.

I chose to make a 6 x 6 easel card. I so love to decorate the insides of my cards but they are always hidden. An easel card is the perfect solution.

She is adorable and so fun to color! When I first stamped her I didn’t know what I was going to do and then looking at her face she just looked so sad so I decided to color her blue.
I added dimension behind the postage stamp dies and the dragon using adhesive squares. I also dug out my stamping up set that has the adorable clips with brads. Had to dig deep but I know they are YEARS old ….. 2003 or 2004 I think.
