A birthday card

Today I would like to show you a birthday card that I made using Rebecca by Saturated Canary.

She was a joy to color! I just love coloring these images so when I have free time to do so these are normally the ones I grab. I used Card Creator Swirls 1 stamps for each corner of the polka dot paper and added Wow glitter. I also added glitter to the roses.

I stamped Rebecca with Memento Summer Sky onto blending card and colored her with Copics

Sunkissed

002 (Medium)
Today starts a new challenge at Totally Tilda and the theme is Titian Tilda which means Tilda with Red Hair. The colour known as "Titian" takes its name of the artistTitian (Tiziano Vecelli or Tiziano Vecellio known in English as Titian) who is known for his paintings of women with red hair.
I also have some NEWS --- I am a modest person but my excitement overrules in this situation. I have been promoted at Totally Tilda. I am now part of the management team and I am thrilled to have been asked!! Woohoo, thanks Boss Lady Susie!!
So for this challenge you need to give your Tilda Red hair
Our sponsor this time is The Ribbon Girl

Red is one of my favorite colors. It is bright and cheery. For my card I used one of the new Tildas from the stamp club. Isn’t she just so cute? I love her little freckles.

The papers used are from the Authentique Fresh collection. I just love the little mini postcards and they go perfect with Tilda.
003 (Medium)
I used Frantage to make the sand that Tilda is sitting on.
002 (Medium)
I stamped Tilda with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto blending card and colored her with Copics.
  • Skin – E25 (just a dab), E11, E21, E000, R11
  • Clothes – B06, B04, B02, B000
  • Hair – E18, E09, E08, E13

***This card is available for sale in my Etsy shop here***

For my card I used an older stamp, Summer Tilda with Bowknot from the 2008 Shabby Chic collection. She is one of my favorites!

I went with a CAS style because I just couldn’t see flowers and lace with my tomboy. These colors are so bright and cheery, perfect for summer and sunshine! I always forget about my buttons so this was a perfect reason to dig them out for a little bit of flare. My card base is Bazill cardstock and my DP is Papermania Happy Days. Buttons are from Buttons Galore Class collection. The stars are stamps from Magnolia that I stamped with Archival ink - Sienna.

I stamped Tilda with Memento Ink – Desert Sand onto blending card and colored her with Copics.

  • Skin – E25, E11, E21, E000, R11
  • Clothes – YR18, YR16, YR15, YR12, YG25, YG23, YG21, B99, B97, B95, B93, B91, E07, E04, E55, E53, E51, E50
  • Hair – E27, E37, E23, E21

Vision of Sugarplums

Christmas already? It just started getting warm in Missouri where I am and here I am thinking about Christmas. For this creation I chose to use the adorable Cute Christmas Fairies, not one, two or three but the whole collection! When I was trying to figure out which image I wanted to use I started resizing and then wow! Sugarplums.

001

I used a few techniques coloring this. For the hair, including the small images I used the flicking technique. I really like how it turned out especially on Fairy Bear but of course he is larger so I had more control of my flicking.

003

For the sweater and the bear I wanted it to look furry. The sweater I colored normally and then went over it with the blender adding dots of blending solution over the sweater. For the bear I colored in dots. After it was all colored I then went over it with the blender. Pictures just doesn't do the bear justice but I am pleased with how it turned out.

002

After everything was colored I took some white glue and paintbrush and flicked out my glue around the little fairies. I then sprinkled Ranger Rock Candy glitter on them. The flicks turned out really nice.
